This course is suitable for beginners or experienced therapist. (An Anatomy & Physiology diploma is a pre-requisite or can be completed alongside this Diploma).
Reflexology has been around for thousands of years. Trials, investigations and research into the positioning and effectiveness of Reflex points that are found on the feet, hands, face and ears have been ongoing with beneficial results, particularly with pain relief among others. It's believed to be based on the same principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and their acupressure points. The treatment feels like a relaxing foot massage that uses pressure to stimulate the reflex points found on the feet, so you expect the pressure to be firm but still therapeutic. It effects a change onto the 10 systems of the body by stimulating the reflexes.
This course will give you a firm foundation in Foot Reflexology, equipping you with the skills to assess client's needs, carry out a safe and effective treatment then analyse how to make changes for the best treatment outcome. I also provide a route of progression to advance onto other techniques.
